College History

This college was established in the name of a great Muslim scholar and poet Allama Iqbal and this remind us of the unforgettable services of Allama Iqbal. Allama Iqbal gives the idea of a separate homeland to the Muslims of the sub-continent. He was excited about the bright future of the young generation.  In his sermons, poetry and acts, he always gives motivation to the youngsters to be always ready to play role in every field of life. And that message is the primary motive for the development ofthis college. 1966, This college rise as a brighten star over the academic horizon of the Sialkot city.  Allama Iqbal Post Graduate College came to the existence due to the brilliant and tireless efforts by the great urban personalities who had a serious passion for the welfare of the country and the nation in their hearts.  And one of the unique and sincere name among themwas Prof. Asghar Sodai who was the famous poet of Pakistan and the creator of the following slogan.

Prof Asghar Sodai was like the blood in the veins of this college.  After his great services and tireless efforts, he put the first brick. Iqbal’s galaxy was full of great people,among them were Dr Bashir Ahmad Khan (Chairman Municipal Committee Sialkot), Khawaja Muhammad Asghar, Haji Muhammad Ashraf, BashirJameel and Prof. Muhammad Yusuf.  This College role in the promotion of education in the urban and ruler areas of ​​mainland Sialkot is significant.  We not just provide the best educational environment here but also; we are given equal opportunities to participate in the curriculum activities so that they live their future life successfully.  It is very important to mention here thatdue to their founders, Principals and teacher support and getting virtuous people from the very beginning led the journey to the best of the best continues.

In 1994, under the special grace of God Almighty and under the patronage of the Ex-Principal Chaudhry Muhammad Siddiqueand other teachers, college was successful to offerMA in2 subjects (Islamic Studies and Economics). Currently we are offering FA, FSc, I. Com, ICS,ADP and BS in the following subjects (Economics, Islamic Studies, English, Math).  Educational services are provided by the highly qualified and hardworking teachers. Government of Punjab has recently built a beautiful and astonishing post graduate block for the students of the MA and BS students. The combination of excellent teachers and a magnificent building has made it an ideal institution for BS and intermediate and becomes the first choice of students.
